When I found yoga I was aimlessly floating through life. I vaguely knew what I wanted and I knew the steps I “should” have been taking in order to get there… but somehow I would always fall off course. I skipped college & started my work career tending to children, working at a daycare. I have always had big dreams and somewhere in my heart I knew I was destined for more than the mundane day to day routine of corporate America. Coming from a musical background I always knew I was destined to be an artist. I discovered songwriting in one of the lowest points of my existence. Becoming a singer/ songwriter professionally though, I didn’t yet have the confidence of the discipline to propel me forward.
Fast forward to now. I am 25, a nanny, a yoga teacher, and an actress. Yoga being the glue that keeps everything together, keeps me sane. I found yoga 2 years ago (which really is nothing in the grand scheme of life and this journey that I have made my home). I started The Grumpy Yogi in hopes that creatives, artists, and PEOPLE that just want to feel welcomed in their bodies will have a space they identify with. I am not perfect nor do I pretend to be, but once I found that constant, (which for me is yoga, mindfulness, and my breath), I found that the world is my home & I have the right to BE in it. As do you.

05: Your home is your body. Be kind to it.
